Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth and what he earns will not avail him. 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 Will have a strap of fibre rope around her neck. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
