Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. 1 His wealth and gains will not exempt him. 2 He will soon enter the flaming fire. 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
