Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 His wealth avails him not, neither what he has earned; 2 He shall soon enter a Blazing Fire, 3 And his wife also: the firewood carrier; 4 Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
