Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. 1 His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. 2 He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck! 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
