Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. 2 He shall soon burn in fire that flames, 3 And so will his wife; carrying a bundle of firewood on her head. 4 with a rope of twisted fibre round her neck. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
