Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 He shall soon burn in fire that flames, 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
