Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. 1 No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains! 2 He shall soon burn in fire that flames, 3 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). 4 In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre). 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
