Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 His wealth did not avail him, nor his acquisitions. 2 He will be roasted in the fire, 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. 5
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
