Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he! 1 His wealth and gains will not exempt him. 2 Surely, he will be cast into a Flaming Fire 3 and his wife, the carrier of the firewood, 4 Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
