Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he! 1 His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. 2 he shall roast at a flaming fire 3 and his wife, the carrier of the firewood, 4 Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
