Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 His substance availed him not, nor that which he earned. 2 He shall soon burn in fire that flames, 3 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). 4 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. 5
God the Almighty always says the truth.
