Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 His wealth and gains will not exempt him. 2 he shall roast at a flaming fire 3 His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- 4 Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
