We have sent down to thee the Book in truth, that thou mightest judge between men, as guided by Allah: so be not (used) as an advocate by those who betray their trust; 105 and seek forgiveness from Allah. Surely Allah is All-Forgiving, All-Compassionate. 106 And plead not on behalf of (people) who deceive themselves. Lo! Allah loveth not one who is treacherous and sinful. 107 They try to hide from (men), but they cannot hide from God who is with them at night when they discuss such matters as He does not approve; but what they do is well within the compass of God. 108 There you are, you have argued on their behalf in the worldly life, but who will argue with Allah on their behalf on the Day of Resurrection! Or who will be a guardian for them? 109 He who does evil or acts against his own interests (by disbelieving), then prays for God's forgiveness, will find God compassionate and merciful. 110 Whoso committeth sin committeth it only against himself. Allah is ever Knower, Wise. 111 And whosoever earns a fault or a sin and then casts it upon the innocent, thereby has laid upon himself calumny and manifest sin. 112
