The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful 1

Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; 2 the All-merciful, the All-compassionate, 3 Owner of the Day of Recompense. 4 You (Alone) we worship, and you (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything). 5 Guide us to the straight path: 6 The way of those whom You have favoured, who did not incur Your wrath, who are not astray. 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
