The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful 1

Praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being, 2 The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful 3 Lord of the Day of Judgement. 4 You (alone) we worship; and You (alone) we rely for help. 5 Guide us (O Lord) to the path that is straight, 6 the path of those whom Thou hast blessed, not of those against whom Thou art wrathful, nor of those who are astray. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
