Al-A 'araaf 8 of 24

Indeed, We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people and he said: "O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other Ilah (God) but Him. (La ilaha ill-Allah: none has the right to be worshipped but Allah). Certainly, I fear for you the torment of a Great Day!" 59 A group of his people said to him, "You are absolutely wrong." 60 He said: O my people! not with me is the error, but I am an apostle from the Lord of the worlds. 61 I deliver to you the Messages of my Lord, and I advise you sincerely; for I know from God that you know not. 62 Marvel ye that an admonition from your Lord should come unto you upon a man from amongst yourselves, in order that he may warn you and that ye may fear, and that haply ye may be shewn mercy? 63 And yet they gave him the lie! And so We saved him and those who stood by him, in the ark, the while We caused those who had given the lie to Our messages to drown: verily, they were blind folk! 64
