3/4 Hizb 16
< random >
۞ And to Ad their brother Hood; he said, 'O my people, serve God! You have no god other than He; will you not be godfearing?' 65 The unbelievers among the leading men of his people said: 'Indeed we see you in folly, and consider you to be liars.' 66 He said: O my people! not with me is folly, but I am an apostle from the Lord of the worlds. 67 I convey to you the messages of my Lord, and I am to you a trustworthy adviser. 68 What, do you wonder that a reminder from your Lord should come to you by the lips of a man from among you? That he may warn you; and remember when He appointed you as successors after the people of Noah, and increased you in stature broadly; remember God's bounties; haply you will prosper.' 69 They said: art thou come unto us that we should worship God alone and leave that which our fathers were wont to worship? Bring thou then upon us that wherewith thou threatenest us if thou sayest sooth. 70 [Hud] said, "Already have defilement and anger fallen upon you from your Lord. Do you dispute with me concerning [mere] names you have named them, you and your fathers, for which Allah has not sent down any authority? Then wait; indeed, I am with you among those who wait." 71 We therefore rescued him and those with him by a great mercy from Us, and We cut off the lineage of those who denied Our signs and they were not believers. 72

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
