Al-A 'araaf 13 of 24

To those who inherit the earth in succession to its (previous) possessors, is it not a guiding, (lesson) that, if We so willed, We could punish them (too) for their sins, and seal up their hearts so that they could not hear? 100 Those townships! We recount unto thee some tidings thereof. Assuredly there came unto them their apostles with evidences, but they were not such as to believe that which they had erst belied. Thus doth Allah put a seal upon the hearts of the infidels. 101 We found no (loyalty to any) covenant in most of them. Nay, most of them We found wrong-doers. 102 After them We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his chiefs. But they willfully rejected them. Consider the end of the evil-doers. 103 Moses said, "Pharaoh, I am a messenger from the Lord of the Universe, 104 I must only speak what is true about God. I have brought you miracles from your Lord; therefore, let the children of Israel go free". 105 He said: "If you have brought a sign then display it, if what you say is true." 106 So he threw his rod, then lo! it was a clear serpent. 107 And he drew out his hand, and behold! it was white (with radiance) for the beholders. 108
