To those who inherit the earth in succession to its (previous) possessors, is it not a guiding, (lesson) that, if We so willed, We could punish them (too) for their sins, and seal up their hearts so that they could not hear? 100 Such were the towns whose story We (thus) relate unto thee: There came indeed to them their messengers with clear (signs): But they would not believe what they had rejected before. Thus doth Allah seal up the hearts of those who reject faith. 101 We found most of them untrue to their covenants, indeed We found most of them to be defiant. 102 Then We sent after them Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his establishment, but they were unjust toward them. So see how was the end of the corrupters. 103 And Musa said: O Fir'awn! I am an apostle from the Lord of the worlds; 104 And it behoves me to say nothing about Allah except what is true. I have come to you with a clear sign of having been sent from your Lord. So let the Children of Israel go with me.' 105 He said: "If you have brought a sign then display it, if what you say is true." 106 So he threw his rod, then lo! it was a clear serpent. 107 And he drew out his hand, and behold! it was white to all beholders! 108
