Al-A 'araaf 13 of 24

To those who inherit the earth in succession to its (previous) possessors, is it not a guiding, (lesson) that, if We so willed, We could punish them (too) for their sins, and seal up their hearts so that they could not hear? 100 We have told you the stories of those towns: their messengers came to them with clear signs, but they were never going to believe in something they had already rejected. Thus God seals up the hearts of those who deny the truth. 101 And We found most of them not true to their words; and indeed We found most of them disobedient. 102 Then We sent, after them, Musa with Our signs unto Fir'awn and his chiefs, but they wronged them. Behold that wise was the end of the corrupters! 103 And Musa said: O Firon! surely I am an apostle from the Lord of the worlds: 104 "Proper it is for me that I say nothing concerning Allah but the truth. Indeed I have come unto you from your Lord with a clear proof. So let the Children of Israel depart along with me." 105 Pharaoh said: if you have brought a sign, then bring it forth if you are truthful.' 106 So he threw his rod, then lo! it was a clear serpent. 107 Then he drew out his hand and it was luminous to the onlookers. 108
