O ye who believe! Obey Allah and His messenger, and turn not away from him when ye hear (him speak). 20 And do not be like those who say: "We have heard," but do not hear. 21 ۞ Verily, the vilest of all creatures in the sight of God are those deaf, those dumb ones who do not use their reason. 22 And had Allah known in them any good He would surely have made them hearken; and even if He made them hear, they would surely turn away as backsliders. 23 O you who believe! Answer Allah (by obeying Him) and (His) Messenger when he (SAW) calls you to that which will give you life, and know that Allah comes in between a person and his heart (i.e. He prevents an evil person to decide anything). And verily to Him you shall (all) be gathered. 24 Guard yourselves against discord among yourselves so that it will not mislead anyone of you, especially the unjust, and know that God's retribution is most severe. 25 Recall the time when you (the believers) were only a few suppressed people in the land, afraid of being terrorized by the people. God gave you shelter, supported you with His help, and bestowed on you pure provisions so that perhaps you would give Him thanks. 26 Believers, do not betray Allah and the Messenger, nor knowingly betray your trust. 27 And know that your possessions and your children are a test, and that with Allah is immense reward. 28
