▼ 8 The Spoils of War
Al-Anfaal 8 of 10

And let not those who disbelieve think they will escape. Indeed, they will not cause failure [to Allah]. 59 And keep ready for them the maximum of forces you can and the maximum number of horses you can keep tethered, in order to instil awe in the hearts of those who are the enemies of Allah and who are your enemies, and in the hearts of some others whom you do not know; Allah knows them; and whatever you spend in Allah's cause will be repaid to you in full and you will never be in a loss. 60 ۞ And if they incline to peace, do thou incline to it; and put thy trust in God; He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 61 If they try to cheat you, God is surely sufficient for you. It is He who has strengthened you with His help and with believers 62 And (as for the believers) hath attuned their hearts. If thou hadst spent all that is in the earth thou couldst not have attuned their hearts, but Allah hath attuned them. Lo! He is Mighty, Wise. 63 O Prophet! Allah is sufficient for you and (for) such of the believers as follow you. 64
