And if they reject you as false, tell them: 'My deeds are for myself and your deeds for yourselves. You will not be held responsible for my deeds, nor I for your deeds. 41 Some of them listen to you: But can you make the deaf hear who do not understand a thing? 42 And among them are those who look at you. But can you guide the blind although they will not [attempt to] see? 43 Verily Allah will not deal unjustly with man in aught: It is man that wrongs his own soul. 44 The day He will gather them together it will appear to them that they had lived (in the world) but an hour of a day to make each other's acquaintance. Verily those who deny the meeting with God will be lost, and not find the way. 45 And whether We show you some of what We promise them, [O Muhammad], or We take you in death, to Us is their return; then, [either way], Allah is a witness concerning what they are doing 46 And for every nation is a messenger. So when their messenger comes, it will be judged between them in justice, and they will not be wronged 47 They say, 'When will this promise be, if you speak truly?' 48 Say: "I have no power over any harm or profit to myself except as Allah willeth. To every people is a term appointed: when their term is reached, not an hour can they cause delay, nor (an hour) can they advance (it in anticipation)." 49 Say: 'Have you considered? Should His punishment come upon you by night or by day, what (part) of it would the sinners try to hasten' 50 And when it overtakes you, is it then that you will believe in it, now, when you already try to hasten it! 51 Then it shall be said to the evildoers: 'Taste the punishment of eternity! Shall you be recompensed except according to what you earned' 52 Yet they want to be informed if it is true. Say: "By my Lord, it is the truth. You cannot invalidate it." 53
