And if they reject you as false, tell them: 'My deeds are for myself and your deeds for yourselves. You will not be held responsible for my deeds, nor I for your deeds. 41 Some of them listen to you: But can you make the deaf hear who do not understand a thing? 42 Some of them look toward you: But can you show the blind the way even when they cannot see? 43 Surely God does not wrong anyone; they wrong themselves. 44 On the day when they will be resurrected, their worldly life will seem to them only as an hour of a day and they all will recognize each other. Those who called the receiving of mercy from God a lie are certainly lost. They did not have the right guidance. 45 Whether We show thee a part of that We promise them, or We call thee unto Us, to Us they shall return; then God is witness of the things they do 46 And every nation had an apostle; so when their apostle came, the matter was decided between them with justice and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. 47 And they say, “When will this promise come, if you are truthful?” 48 Say: "I have no power over any harm or profit to myself except as Allah willeth. To every people is a term appointed: when their term is reached, not an hour can they cause delay, nor (an hour) can they advance (it in anticipation)." 49 Say: "Tell me, - if His torment should come to you by night or by day, - which portion thereof would the Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals) hasten on?" 50 Will you believe it when it comes to pass? Indeed, you will believe it then. How impatient you were to hasten it! 51 Then it shall be said to the evildoers: 'Taste the punishment of eternity! Shall you be recompensed except according to what you earned' 52 And they ask thee to inform them (saying): Is it true? Say: Yea, by my Lord, verily it is true, and ye cannot escape. 53
