And if they deny thee, say: Unto me my work, and unto you your work. Ye are innocent of what I do, and I am innocent of what ye do. 41 Some of them will listen to you, but are you supposed to make the deaf hear even if they have no understanding? 42 And of them some look towards you; will you, then, guide the blind, even though they can see nothing? 43 Indeed, Allah does not wrong the people at all, but it is the people who are wronging themselves. 44 And on the Day when He shall gather them together, it will seem to them as if they had not tarried in the world longer than an hour of a day. They will recognize one another; lost indeed will be those who considered it a lie that they were destined to meet God, and did not follow the right path. 45 Whether We show thee a part of that We promise them, or We call thee unto Us, to Us they shall return; then God is witness of the things they do 46 And every nation had an apostle; so when their apostle came, the matter was decided between them with justice and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. 47 And they say: "When will be this promise (the torment or the Day of Resurrection), - if you speak the truth?" 48 Tell them: 'I have no power to harm or benefit even myself, except what Allah may will. There is an appointed term for every people; and when the end of their term comes, neither can they put it off for an hour, nor can they bring it an hour before. 49 Say: Tell me if His punishment overtakes you by night or by day! what then is there of it that the guilty would hasten on? 50 Is it only when this chastisement has actually overtaken you that you will believe in it? (And when the chastisement will surprise you), you will try to get away from it, although it is you who had sought to hasten its coming.' 51 Then it shall be said to the evildoers: 'Taste the punishment of eternity! Shall you be recompensed except according to what you earned' 52 Yet they want to be informed if it is true. Say: "By my Lord, it is the truth. You cannot invalidate it." 53
