۞ And recite to them the news of Noah, when he said to his people, "O my people, if my residence and my reminding of the signs of Allah has become burdensome upon you - then I have relied upon Allah. So resolve upon your plan and [call upon] your associates. Then let not your plan be obscure to you. Then carry it out upon me and do not give me respite. 71 If you turn away from me, remember I demand no recompense from you. Only God will reward me and I have been commanded to submit completely to Him." 72 And yet they gave him the lie! And so We saved him and all who stood by him, in the ark, and made them inherit [the earth,] the while We caused those who gave the lie to Our messages to drown: behold, then, what happened in the end to those people who had been warned [in vain]! 73 AND THEN, after him, We sent forth [other] apostles - each one unto his own people - and they brought them all evidence of the truth; but they would not believe in anything to which they had once given the lie: thus it is that We seal the hearts of such as [are wont to] transgress the bounds of what is right. 74 Then We sent forth, after them, Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh and his Council with Our signs, but they waxed proud, and were a sinful people. 75 When the Truth from Us came, they called it simply magic. 76 Moses said, 'What, do you say this to the truth, when it has come to you? Is this a sorcery? But sorcerers do not prosper.' 77 They said, “Have you two come to us to revert us from what we found our fathers upon, and that the leadership in the land may only be for you two? And we shall never believe in you both.” 78 Said Pharaoh: "Bring me every sorcerer well versed." 79 When the magicians came, Moses said to them, "Cast down whatever you are going to cast down." 80 And when they threw down [their staffs and cast a spell upon the people's eyes,] Moses said unto them: "What you have contrived is [but] sorcery which, verily, God will bring to nought! Verily, God does not further the works of spreaders of corruption 81 "And Allah by His words doth prove and establish His truth, however much the sinners may hate it!" 82
