And [thereafter,] indeed, We assigned unto the children of Israel a most goodly abode, and provided for them sustenance out of the good things of life. And it was not until knowledge [of God's revelation] was vouchsafed to them that they began to hold divergent views: [but,] verily, thy Sustainer will judge between them on Resurrection Day regarding all on which they were wont to differ. 93 And if thou (Muhammad) art in doubt concerning that which We reveal unto thee, then question those who read the Scripture (that was) before thee. Verily the Truth from thy Lord hath come unto thee. So be not thou of the waverers. 94 Nor be of those who reject the signs of Allah, or thou shalt be of those who perish. 95 Lo! those for whom the word of thy Lord (concerning sinners) hath effect will not believe, 96 Though every token come unto them, till they see the painful doom. 97 Why did no one except the people of Jonah believe (in their punishment before their death) so that they could have benefitted from their faith? When the people of Jonah believed, We saved them from a disgraceful torment in this life and provided them with the means of enjoyment for an appointed time. 98 And if your Lord had pleased, surely all those who are in the earth would have believed, all of them; will you then force men till they become believers? 99 No soul can believe except by the will of God. He will place the filth [of doubt] upon those who do not use their reason. 100 Say: Consider what is it that is in the heavens and the earth; and signs and warners do not avail a people who would not believe. 101 What do they wait for then but the like of the days of those who passed away before them? Say: Wait then; surely I too am with you of those who wait. 102 Thereafter We delivered Our apostles and those who believed. Even so, as incumbent upon us, We deliver the believers. 103
