Joseph (Yousuf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Ra. These are verse of the Scripture that maketh plain. 1 We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an, in order that ye may learn wisdom. 2 We recount to you the best of narratives in revealing this Quran to you, even though you were unaware of it before it came. 3 When Joseph told his father: "O my father, I saw eleven stars and the sun and the moon bowing before me in homage," 4 He said, "O my son, do not relate your vision to your brothers or they will contrive against you a plan. Indeed Satan, to man, is a manifest enemy. 5 “And this is how your Lord will choose you and teach you how to interpret events, and will perfect His favours upon you and upon the family of Yaqub, the way He perfected it upon both your forefathers, Ibrahim and Ishaq; indeed your Lord is All Knowing, Wise.” 6
