And once the king said: "I have dreamt that there are seven fat cows and seven lean cows are devouring them, and there are seven fresh green ears of corn and seven others dry and withered. My nobles! Tell me what is the interpretation of this dream, if you are well-versed in interpretation of dreams." 43 They answered: " [This is one of] the most involved and confusing of dreams, and we have no deep knowledge of the real meaning of dreams." 44 And of the two the one who was released said – and after a long time he had remembered – “I will tell you its interpretation, therefore send me forth.” 45 [He said], "Joseph, O man of truth, explain to us about seven fat cows eaten by seven [that were] lean, and seven green spikes [of grain] and others [that were] dry - that I may return to the people; perhaps they will know [about you]." 46 He said: You shall sow for seven years continuously, then what you reap leave it in its ear except a little of which you eat. 47 "Then will come after that (period) seven dreadful (years), which will devour what ye shall have laid by in advance for them,- (all) except a little which ye shall have (specially) guarded. 48 Then there will come a year when people will be helped by plenty of rain and they will press (grapes)." 49
