The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

286 verses, revealed in Medina after The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen) before The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

AlifLaamMeem. 1 This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah; 2 Who believe in the unseen and establish the (daily) prayer; who spend out of what We have provided them. 3 who believe in what has been sent down to thee and what has been sent down before thee, and have faith in the Hereafter; 4 Such people are on the right way from their Lord and such are truly successful. 5 BEHOLD, as for those who are bent on denying the truth - it is all one to them whether thou warnest them or dost not warn them: they will not believe. 6 Allah has sealed up their hearts and ears and a covering has fallen over their eyes, and they have incurred the severest punishment. 7
