And verily in the heaven we have set mansions of the stars, and We have beautified it for beholders. 16 and We have guarded it from every accursed devil: 17 excepting such as listens by stealth -- and he is pursued by a manifest flame. 18 And the earth - We have spread it and cast therein firmly set mountains and caused to grow therein [something] of every well-balanced thing. 19 We have provided on it sustenance for you, and for those you cannot provide. 20 And there is not a thing but with Us are its treasuries, and We do not send it down except in a known measure. 21 We send the winds fertilizing, and We send down out of heaven water, from which you drink and you are not its treasurers. 22 And verily, it is We Who give life, and Who give death: it is We Who remain inheritors (after all else passes away). 23 To Us are known those of you who hasten forward, and those who lag behind. 24 And surely your Lord will gather them together; surely He is Wise, Knowing. 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
