Al-Hijjr 2 of 6
We have indeed set constellations in the heavens and have beautified them for the beholders, 16 And (moreover) We have guarded them from every cursed devil: 17 excepting such as listens by stealth -- and he is pursued by a manifest flame. 18 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every thing justly weighed, 19 And We have made for you therein means of living and [for] those for whom you are not providers. 20 And there is not a thing but with Us are the treasures of it, and We do not send it down but in a known measure. 21 And We send the winds fertilizing (to fill heavily the clouds with water), then caused the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We gave it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores [i.e. to give water to whom you like or to withhold it from whom you like]. 22 And verily We! it is We who give life and death, and We shall be the survivors. 23 And indeed We know those among you who came forward and indeed We know those among you who remained behind. 24 Indeed your Lord only will raise them all on the Day of Resurrection; indeed only He is Wise, All Knowing. 25
