Surely We brought man into being out of dry ringing clay which was wrought from black mud, 26 And the jinn did We create aforetime of essential fire. 27 And recall when your Lord said to the angels, “I will create man from sounding clay made out of black smelly mud.” 28 When I have formed him and breathed My spirit into him, fall down in prostration before him," 29 Therefore all the angels, each and every one of them, fell prostrate. 30 Except Iblees, he refused to be with those who prostrated. 31 Said He: "O Iblis! What is thy reason for not being among those who have prostrated themselves?" 32 He replied: 'I will not prostrate to a mortal You have created of clay, from molded mud' 33 Allah said: then get thee forth therefrom; verily thou art one damned. 34 A curse shall be on you till the Day of Recompense' 35 "O my Lord," said he, "give me respite till the day the dead are raised." 36 Said Allah, “You are of those given respite.” 37 till the Day the time whereof is known [to Me alone]." 38 [Iblees] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all 39 except Your sincere servants". 40 (To which God) said: "This way is right by Me. 41 verily, thou shalt have no power over My creatures - unless it be such as are [already] lost in grievous error and follow thee [of their own will]: 42 For whom the ordained place is surely Hell, 43 It has seven gates, and through each gate a portion of them belong. 44
