Man We fashioned from fermented clay dried tingling hard, 26 and the jinn before (the human being) of smokeless fire. 27 And lo! Thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create mortal man out of sounding clay, out of dark slime transmuted; 28 So, when I have made him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, do ye fall down, prostrating yourselves unto him. 29 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 30 save Iblis; he refused to be among those bowing. 31 Said He: "O Iblis! What is thy reason for not being among those who have prostrated themselves?" 32 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am not the one to prostrate myself to a human being, whom You created from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud." 33 Said Allah, “Therefore exit from Paradise, for you are an outcast.” 34 And lo! the curse shall be upon thee till the Day of Judgment. 35 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised." 36 Answered He: "Verily, so be it: thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 37 “Till the Day of a well-known time.” 38 (satan) said: 'My Lord, for Your perverting me, I shall make (matters) in the earth seem most fair to them and I shall pervert all, 39 “Except those among them who are Your chosen bondmen.” 40 God said, "The path which leads to Me is a straight 41 over My servants thou shalt have no authority, except those that follow thee, 42 And verily Hell is the place promised unto them all. 43 There are seven gates in it, and to each gate a portion of them has been allotted. 44

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
