Indeed We created man from sounding clay made out of black smelly mud. 26 As We fashioned jinns before from intense radiated heat. 27 But when your Lord said to the angels: "I am verily going to create a human being from fermented clay dried tingling hard; 28 When I have completed shaping him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall you down before him in prostration." 29 So, the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together. 30 But Iblis (did it not); he refused to be with those who made obeisance. 31 He said: O Iblis! what excuse have you that you are not with those who make obeisance? 32 (Iblis) said: "I am not one to prostrate myself to man, whom Thou didst create from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape." 33 The Lord said: "Then get out of here; you are rejected, 34 “And indeed you are accursed till the Day of Judgement.” 35 He said: My Lord! then respite me till the time when they are raised. 36 Answered He: "Verily, so be it: thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 37 Till the Day of appointed time. 38 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "O my Lord! Because you misled me, I shall indeed adorn the path of error for them (mankind) on the earth, and I shall mislead them all. 39 excepting those Thy servants among them that are devoted. 40 (To which God) said: "This way is right by Me. 41 Lo! as for My slaves, thou hast no power over any of them save such of the froward as follow thee, 42 Hell is the promised place for them all. 43 It has seven gates and each gate is assigned for a certain group of people. 44
