Man We fashioned from fermented clay dried tingling hard, 26 and the jinn before (the human being) of smokeless fire. 27 Your Lord said to the angels, "I am about to bring into being a man wrought from mud. 28 "So, when I have fashioned him completely and breathed into him (Adam) the soul which I created for him, then fall (you) down prostrating yourselves unto him." 29 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely, 30 save Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves. 31 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What is your reason for not being among the prostrators?" 32 He replied: 'I will not prostrate to a mortal You have created of clay, from molded mud' 33 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 34 And verily on thee shall be the curse till the Day of Requital. 35 "O my Lord," said he, "give me respite till the day the dead are raised." 36 The Lord said, "Your request is granted 37 till that Appointed Day." 38 [Iblees] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all 39 Except Thy servants from among them, the devoted ones. 40 Allah said: this is the path leading unto Me straight. 41 "Certainly, you shall have no authority over My slaves, except those who follow you of the Ghawin (Mushrikun and those who go astray, criminals, polytheists, and evil-doers, etc.). 42 And lo! for all such, hell will be the promised place. 43 Seven gates it has, and unto each gate a set portion of them belongs.' 44

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
