Verily those who keep away from evil and follow the straight path shall be in the midst of gardens and springs of water. 45 [Having been told], "Enter it in peace, safe [and secure]." 46 We shall remove all rancor from their hearts, and as brethren they shall recline on couches face to face. 47 Toil cometh not unto them there, nor will they be expelled from thence. 48 ۞ Declare thou unto My bondmen: verily I! I am the Forgiver, the Merciful. 49 and that My punishment is a painful one. 50 And tell them about the guests (the angels) of Ibrahim (Abraham). 51 When they entered his presence and said, "Peace!" He said, "We feel afraid of you!" 52 They said, “Do not fear – we convey to you the glad tidings of a knowledgeable boy.” 53 He said: "Do ye give me glad tidings that old age has seized me? Of what, then, is your good news?" 54 They replied: 'In truth we have given you glad tidings, do not be one of those who despair' 55 He said, "Who but the misguided despair of the mercy of their Lord?" 56 And asked them: "What matter, O angels, brings you here?" 57 They said: We have been sent unto a guilty folk, 58 "Except the family of Lot whom we shall save 59 Except his wife." Allah decreed that she is of those who remain behind. 60
