VERILY, those who are conscious of God [shall find themselves in the hereafter] amidst gardens and springs, 45 and they will be told to enter there in peace and safety. 46 And We shall purge their breasts of all traces of rancour; and they shall be seated on couches facing one another as brothers. 47 They will not be affected by any weariness there, and they will never be made to leave." 48 ۞ Tell My servants that I - I alone - am truly forgiving, a true dispenser of grace; 49 and that My punishment is a painful punishment. 50 Tell them about Abraham's guests: 51 When they came to Abraham they said: "Peace be upon you!" He replied: "Indeed we feel afraid of you." 52 "Have no fear," they said. "We bring you news of a son full of wisdom." 53 He said: bear ye me glad tidings when old age hath touched me? of what then ye bear me glad tidings? 54 They said: We give you good news with truth, therefore be not of the despairing. 55 [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "And who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except those who are astray?" 56 [Ibrahim (Abraham) again] said: "What then is the business on which you have come, O Messengers?" 57 "We have been sent," they said, "to (punish) a sinful people, 58 Except for Lot's household, all of whom we shall rescue, 59 Except his wife." Allah decreed that she is of those who remain behind. 60
