VERILY, those who are conscious of God [shall find themselves in the hereafter] amidst gardens and springs, 45 and they will be told to enter there in peace and safety. 46 And We remove whatever rancour may be in their breasts. As brethren, face to face, (they rest) on couches raised. 47 No fatigue will touch them therein, nor from it will they [ever] be removed. 48 ۞ Tell My worshipers that I am the Forgiving, the Most Merciful, 49 But My punishment is surely a painful one. 50 Tell them about the guests of Abraham 51 They entered to him and said: 'Peace' but he replied: 'We are afraid of you' 52 They (the angels) said: "Do not be afraid! We give you glad tidings of a boy (son) possessing much knowledge and wisdom." 53 He said: 'What is this, do you bring me glad tidings even though I am old' Of what do you give me glad tidings' 54 They said, "We have, indeed, given you glad tidings in truth; do not therefore despair." 55 "Who would despair of the mercy of his Lord," he answered, "but those who go astray." 56 And asked them: "What matter, O angels, brings you here?" 57 They said: We have been sent unto a guilty folk, 58 "Except the family of Lot whom we shall save 59 except his wife. We have decreed that she will be among those who remain behind [and will be lost]. 60

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
