When the messengers came to the family of Lot, 61 he said, 'Surely you are a people unknown to me!' 62 They said: "Yea, we have come to thee to accomplish that of which they doubt. 63 We truly tell you that we have brought to you the Truth. 64 "Then travel in a part of the night with your family, and you go behind them in the rear, and let no one amongst you look back, but go on to where you are ordered." 65 And We made known this decree to him, that the root of those (sinners) was to be cut off in the early morning. 66 And the people of the city came, rejoicing at the news (of new arrivals). 67 rushed towards the house of Lot. Lot said to them, "These are my guests. Do not disgrace me. 68 Have fear of God and do not humiliate me". 69 They said, “Had we not forbidden you from meddling in the affairs of anyone?” 70 He said: these are my daughters, if act ye must. 71 By your life, [O Muhammad], indeed they were, in their intoxication, wandering blindly. 72 And thereupon the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at the time of sunrise, 73 And We turned the city upside down, and rained on them stones of hardened lava. 74 Surely! In this are signs, for those who see (or understand or learn the lessons from the Signs of Allah). 75 The place (where this occurred) lies along a known route. 76 Lo! therein is indeed a portent for believers. 77 The dwellers of the Wood (near Midian) were also wicked. 78 So We exacted retribution from them. They were both on an open highway, plain to see. 79

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
