And when the messengers came to the family of Lot, 61 He said: Surely you are an unknown people. 62 They said, “In fact we have brought to you the matter which these people doubted.” 63 "We have brought to thee that which is inevitably due, and assuredly we tell the truth. 64 So set out with your family during a portion of the night and follow behind them and let not anyone among you look back and continue on to where you are commanded." 65 And We made plain the case to him, that the root of them (who did wrong) was to be cut at early morn. 66 The people of the town came along, revelling, 67 Exclaimed [Lot]: "Behold, these are my guests: so put me not to shame, 68 Have fear of God and do not humiliate me". 69 They said, "Did we not forbid you to extend hospitality to strangers?" 70 He said, "Here are my daughters, if you must act in this way." 71 By your life! In their drunkenness they were truly blind. 72 And thereupon the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at the time of sunrise, 73 Thus did We turn it upside down, and rained down upon them stones of what had been decreed. 74 Surely in this are signs for those who examine. 75 That town lies on a road which still exists. 76 Verily in that is a sign for the believers. 77 And the Companions of the Wood were also wrong-doers; 78 So, We took vengeance on them. They are both on an open highway, plain to see. 79

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
