And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 notwithstanding that they had been wont [to enjoy Our blessings and] to hew out dwellings from the mountains, [wherein they could live] in security 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 verily, thy Sustainer is the all-knowing Creator of all things! 86 And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathani (the seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Surat Al-Fatiha) and the Grand Quran. 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 and say: "Behold, I am indeed the plain warner [promised by God]! 89 such as We send down for those who are divisive, 90 Who have made the Qur'an into portions. 91 By thy Lord, We will question them all. 92 for what they have done 93 Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists. 94 We suffice thee against the mockers, 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99
