And assuredly the dwellers of Hijr belied the sent ones. 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour, 83 So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator of all things, the Knowing. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoin, and be not grieved on their account, and lower thy wing (in tenderness) for the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 Those who have made the scripture bits. 91 Therefore, by your Lord, We shall question every one of them. 92 for whatever they have done! 93 Therefore proclaim openly (Allah's Message Islamic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. - see V. 2:105). 94 Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers, 95 Who set up along with Allah another ilah (god), they will come to know. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 But glorify your Lord with His praise, and prostrate yourself: 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99
