And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them. 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 But the shriek seized them at early morning. 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 We have not created but with reason the heavens and the earth and all that lies within them. The Hour (of the great change) is certain to come. So turn away (from them) with a grace. 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Do not strain your eyes after what We have given certain classes of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and make yourself gentle to the believers. 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators 90 and who have broken the Scripture into fragments -- 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 for what they have done 93 So declare to them what We have enjoined, and turn away from idolaters. 94 Verily We will suffice unto thee against the mockers. 95 who set up another god with God, but they shall soon learn. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him). 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99
