Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 And they hewed houses in the mountains in security. 82 So the rumbling overtook them in the morning; 83 And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Qur'an. 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 And say: Surely I am the plain warner. 89 Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators 90 And severed their Scripture into fragments. 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 Of what they used to do. 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 Indeed We suffice you against these mockers. 95 who set up another god with God, but they shall soon learn. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
