The Companions of the Rocky Tract also rejected the messengers: 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 But As-Saihah (torment - awful cry etc.) overtook them in the early morning (of the fourth day of their promised punishment days). 83 And that which they were wont to count as gain availed them not. 84 And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness. 85 Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. 86 We have given you the seven oft-recited verses and the great Quran. 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 And say: 'I am the plain warner' 89 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- 90 and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others. 91 By your Lord, We will question them all 92 About all what they used to do. 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you. 97 So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him). 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99
