The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ (Inevitable) cometh (to pass) the Command of Allah: seek ye not then to hasten it: Glory to Him, and far is He above having the partners they ascribe unto Him! 1 He sends down the angels with the inspiration by His commandment on whom He pleases of His servants, saying: Give the warning that there is no god but Me, therefore be careful (of your duty) to Me. 2 He created the heavens and the earth with Truth. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Allah in His Divinity. 3 He has created man from a sperm-drop; and behold this same (man) becomes an open disputer! 4 And the cattle! He hath created them. For you in them there is warmth and other profits and of them ye eat. 5 and you find beauty in them when you drive them home in the evenings and when you take them out to pasture in the mornings. 6 And they carry your heavy loads to lands that ye could not (otherwise) reach except with souls distressed: for your Lord is indeed Most Kind, Most Merciful, 7 And horses and mules and asses (hath He created) that ye may ride them, and for ornament. And He createth that which ye know not. 8 The straight way leads to God and there are ways which deviate from the right course. If He so wished, He would guide you all. 9
