He it is Who sends down water for you from the sky out of which you drink and out of which grow the plants on which you pasture your cattle, 10 With this water He produces for you crops, and olives, and dates, and grapes, and all kinds of fruit; indeed in this is a sign for people who ponder. 11 And He subjected to you the night and day, and the sun and moon; and the stars are subjected by His command. Surely in that are signs for a people who understand. 12 And what He has created in the earth of varied hues most surely there is a sign in this for a people who are mindful. 13 It is God who put the oceans at your disposal so that you could find therein fresh fish for food and ornaments with which to deck yourselves with. You will find ships that sail for you so that you may travel in search of the bounties of God and give Him thanks. 14 And he has placed firm mountains on earth, lest it sway with you, and rivers and paths, so that you might find your way, 15 And also landmarks; and by the stars they are guided. 16 So, could one who creates be like one who cannot? Will you not then contemplate? 17 And if ye would count the favours of Allah ye could not compute them; verily Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 18 And Allah knows what you conceal and what you disclose. 19 Those unto whom they cry beside Allah created naught, but are themselves created. 20 Dead (are they), not living, and they know not when they shall be raised. 21
