It is He who sends down water from heaven, which provides drink for you and brings forth trees on which your herds feed. 10 With this water He produces for you crops, and olives, and dates, and grapes, and all kinds of fruit; indeed in this is a sign for people who ponder. 11 He has made the night and the day and the sun and the moon subservient to you; and all the stars are subservient to His command. Surely in this there are signs for men of understanding. 12 All that He has created for you on the earth are of different colors. In this there is evidence of the Truth for the people who take heed. 13 And it is He who subjected the sea for you to eat from it tender meat and to extract from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through it, and [He subjected it] that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful. 14 And He has placed firm mountains on the earth lest it should move away from you, and has made rivers and tracks that you may find your way, 15 And waymarks; and by the star they are guided. 16 So will He Who creates ever be like one who does not create? So do you not heed advice? 17 And if you would count the graces of Allah, never could you be able to count them. Truly! Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 18 Allah has knowledge of all that you hide and all that you reveal. 19 But those whom you invoke, other than Allah do not create anything they are themselves created. 20 (They are things) dead, lifeless: nor do they know when they will be raised up. 21
