It is He Who sent down water from the sky – you drink from it, and from it are trees you use as pasture. 10 (With this water) He causes corn, olives, palm-trees, vines, and all kinds of fruits to grow. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of understanding. 11 He has subjected to you the night, the day, the sun and the moon. The stars are subjected by His Command. Surely, in that there is a sign for a nation who understands. 12 And whatsoever He hath created for you in the earth of divers hues, lo! therein is indeed a portent for people who take heed. 13 It is He who has subdued the sea that you may eat fresh meat from it, and obtain ornaments to wear. You see the ships plough through it that you may seek of His bounties and, perhaps, be grateful. 14 And He has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it shift with you, and [made] rivers and roads, that you may be guided, 15 And waymarks; and by the star they are guided. 16 Is He, then, who creates like him who does not create? Will you not, then, take heed? 17 And if you would count Allah's favors, you will not be able to number them; most surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 18 And Allah knows what you conceal and what you disclose. 19 But those whom you invoke, other than Allah do not create anything they are themselves created. 20 (They are things) dead, lifeless: nor do they know when they will be raised up. 21
